Wondergut (noun): The feeling of overwhelming excitement, certainty, and raw enthusiasm that comes with making a really good decision. Often characterized by excessive smiling, "dancy pants," and slight nausea.
"Wondergut" is not a real word. I just made it up. It's a pretty great blog about the stomach microbiome, but that's not my point here.
I am a person who FEELS very intensely, whether it's a good feeling or a bad feeling. Often, my body will have a reaction to outside stimuli that is completely separate to what my mind is thinking. During times of intense stress, I often get so nauseous that I can't eat. Sometimes intense news, good or bad, can make me black out for a second.
But there's an indescribably amazing feeling in wondergut — when you're making a decision you just know is the right one, and you're so excited to get started that you might just urp up the spaghetti you had for dinner.
I can't say much more now, but life just got mighty exciting.
